The boys and I went on a little expedition to our local train station this afternoon to capture the last of the days light.  Lately I have become hooked on backlighting and just can’t get enough!!! I find myself searching it out and trying to make up excuses to shoot in it…. Tonight’s was “Hey boys, let’s go train spotting….” Worked like a treat, with vintage cameras in hand they didn’t know what hit them!

Backlighting, for those unsure, is when you place your light source is directly behind your subject.  In this case it was the setting sun behind my two little monsters.  What I love most about it is the halo glow surrounding the subject, just beautiful!
